Well it is time for another open discussion! This one is about those student freelancers who also have another job they must work, in addition to going to school. Whew! That made me tired thinking of how busy those poor freelancers are!
This week's open discussion question is focusing on marketing as a student freelancer. Have you found it difficult to market yourself as a student who moonlights as a freelancer? Have you run across any benefits or disadvantages when you explain that you are a student freelancer?
We have all came across at one point or another the "student" factor when dealing with clients. Some clients don't want to work with students, while other clients seem to seek out students for the hopes of getting the project done at a lower cost. How do you handle when a client finds out that you are a student?
