Being your own boss basically just means being able to come and go as you please.
And why would you want to do that? Who really wants to be able to do their work at 10 pm at night if they wanted? Or sleep till noon? Or even go out with your family and friends when they wanted to? Having all that flexibility of being your own boss can leave you with this perfect balance of work and play, which is absurd!
Working less and making more money is stressful.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t need any more money. I was just as happy working all day for very little. And the reality that you can work only a few hours and make just as much as if you worked all day for someone else being an ideal situation is just foolish. Do yourself a favor and go back to working for someone else, who will make you work day and night while you pull in minimum wage. I wish I didn’t have to sit and worry about what to do with my spare time after finishing a project and what to do with all the extra money I made.
Working on personal projects is just a time sucker and a time waster.
Ever since I started this blog, which was meant to help other students start and improve their freelancing, it has just become a big black hole of my time, and frankly it’s also a big waste of time. If my experience is anything like yours, your personal projects don’t give you any satisfaction of doing what you want to do and causes you many sleepless nights. Besides, no one ever reads this blog anyways, and if they did, they would realize by now that they were part of an April Fool’s joke.
So just make it easier for yourself and avoid student freelancing like the plague. It just isn’t worth it.
I’m going to go ahead and ruin it and say “you are enjoying this holiday way too much!”
The use of irony is very fitting here! I hope you continue to loose sleet over these posts!
